This magnificent moose was just off Hwy 40 enjoying his breakfast.
He decided we were not a threat so he graciously allowed us to have a photo shoot.
Enough already! That sounds like my family when I take too many pictures!
Taking a moment to enjoy the wildlife along the way.
How much farther? Level of difficulty-strenuous - 17 kilometers (9,200 ft. high)
We had a few snowy patches from time to time!
I enjoy the climb up more than going down.
Jana enjoying the scramble!
I spotted this marmot on the ridge of the mountain.
They are also called "whistle pigs"for the high pitched warning they use to alert the colony of approaching danger.
Spectacular views along the way!
It is one more hour from this point!
Are we rock climbing or hiking?
You want me to go where?
This is what we have been waiting for. It has been a long day but the view is worth it all!
This rabbit looks like a decoy but he is alive and it looks like I have scared him half to death.
Almost home-can't wait for a hot shower!
